Five-Week Workshop for Clergy
This course, offered online, is a five-week preparation for chanting the Exsultet at the Easter Vigil. The skills learned here can be applied to other sections of chant and song that may be desired in the liturgy. Through application of the Blaylock Vocal Method, the vocal instrument is strengthened in a way that is broadly applicable to caring for the client’s vocal health and efficiency throughout their professional life. This course introduces The Blaylock Vocal Method and helps develop confidence in clergy using their singing voices in liturgy. The information and methods learned in this course can be applied toward other goals such as leading group singing, maintaining vocal health, and accurately learning other liturgical chants. The first offering of this course will be March 2-April 4, 2020, with continued support during Holy Week as client schedules allow.
